Researchers at Georgia Health Sciences University College of Dental Medicine are exploring an all-natural lozenge to treat dry mouth. Over 40% of adult Americans suffer from dry mouth. Powerful antioxidants found in green tea, called polyphenols, can reduce damage to the salivary glands. The all-natural lozenge contains green tea polyphenols and helps restore normal behavior to the salivary glands. The clinical trial is sponsored by the International Association of Dental Research and GlaxoSmithKline.
