Between school, sports, and activities there is no doubt your kids are busy. In my life, I often find myself forgetting things and getting caught up in my busy schedule as well. With that said, I thought I would remind you why it is so important to take your kiddos to get their regular cleanings and check-ups at the dentist!
-Pediatric dentists are trained in oral health from the age of birth to teenage years.
-The dentist will also provide you and your child with special information on how to keep good dental hygiene specific to your child’s case.
-There can be early onset problems with your child’s teeth that certain oral habits can cause. (Thumb sucking, tongue thrusting, and even lip thrusting.)
-Baby bottle decay (“This is a dental condition that occurs in children between 18 months and 3 years of age as a result of being given a bottle at bedtime, resulting in prolonged exposure of the teeth to milk or juice.” – www.Healtcarecentral.com
-Last but not least cavity prevention.
These are some of the reasons we believe pediatric dentistry is so important here at Burleson Orthodontics and Pediatric Dentistry. Have a great school year and don’t forget to get your teeth checked!
